Hi Natalie!
This is an invaluable ad to people who have moles. As a massage therapist most of my clients are seniors, and cancerous moles are more common than one might think, especially as we get older. This ad give people something tactile, which I imagine rarely happens in newsprint advertising. Who ever dreamed this one up was genius!


Such a brilliant tactic, to use the imperfection that they knew would be at the bottom of the paper because of the printing/cutting process. This definitely appears to consumers who are more experiential learners. Very cool and kind of gross!

This is a really interesting ad approach. It is also intriguing because there is no real texture and the image is 2D yet they give you the impression of a 3D ad through the wording. It is a great way to get a readers attention.
